“A reed like unto a rod”
Often men have the power to change the proper name of something, and so, change and bend it’s meaning, or rather, not it’s meaning, but what many will think it means. The Sea of Galilee became the Sea of Tiberius. Jesus was presumed to be the son of Joseph, Jerusalem was called the City of David for so long, that even today it is called the City of David. But in the true and pure language of heaven, when Christ was born, the angel proclaimed, “Unto you is born, this day, in the city of David, a savior, which is Christ, the Lord”. Bethlehem Ephratah is the city of David, where Rachel was buried, and where the House of Israel was revealed in Ruth 4, to be built in Rachel and Leah (Not in Bilhah and Zilpah, the slaves who built the house of Jacob, as per Genesis 37).
So, what is the true name of Jerusalem beneath? In the pure language of heaven, the city is named, “Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified”. (Rev 11) The two faces of religion: willing participation and forced participation. Both abominations.
The scriptures declare that Jesus did not rise alone. In the prophets it was declared, “Together with my dead body shall they rise”. (Isaiah 26) And, “we are lead as sheep to the slaughter; we are killed all the day long”. (Psalm 44). Also, “I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live”. (Gal 2).
Rev. 11 reveals the adversarial relationship between them born of Jerusalem beneath, spiritual Sodom and Egypt, and Jerusalem above, the mother of us all…them born of the Spirit.
And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty [and] two months.
And I will give [power] unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred [and] threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
And their dead bodies [shall lie] in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
The application of the reed, the measuring and comparing Jerusalem beneath to the Resurrected, glorified Christ, is a torment to it, and to them who dwell in it. To be beheaded for one’s testimony is not necessarily corporeal. But it is ALWAYS to be silenced. The extinguishing of any contrary voice is not a new phenomenon. It has been going on since the fall. But in this present age, there is one TRUTH. And there is but one authorized to declare it. If the same Spirit which raised Christ from the dead dwell in you, you are authorized.
From the time Solomon built the Temple at Jerusalem, it was called just that, “The Temple”. Jesus, who had said “The Father dwells in Me”, said this because it was the truth. He was The Temple, because all of the fullness and Spirit of the Father dwelt in Him. And when Jesus said the words, “destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days”, there was an assumption made by them that heard Him, that He was speaking of Solomon’s temple. It was a false assumption. He was speaking of His crucifixion and resurrection. And according to all of the law and the prophets, Christ was not raised alone. Paul had to write to a group of believers who were apparently in ignorance or confusion about the matter. He wrote and asked them, “know ye not that ye are The Temple, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”. This true definition of The Temple, as the dwelling of God by the Spirit, is the ONLY true definition. If one desired to search and find The Temple using the process of elimination, one would begin by eliminating anything or place where the Lord has said He DOES NOT dwell. He does not dwell in a house built with hands. To this very day, the religious houses and systems that are built by man remain at complete odds with the true house that the Lord built in resurrection, and not man:
“For we know that if our earthly house of [this] tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;“
” Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;“
“Thus saith the LORD, The heaven [is] my throne, and the earth [is] my footstool: where [is] the house that ye build unto me? and where [is] the place of my rest? For all those [things] hath mine hand made, and all those [things] have been, saith the LORD: but to this [man] will I look, [even] to [him that is] poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.“
