About

My name is John Crom. The blog is created to express one man’s experiences with the resurrected, glorified, and very much alive, Lord Jesus Christ. From my early twenties He has dealt with me by way of the revelation of Himself. At the very earliest stages, I was brought to a crossroads in the journey as the result of being ridiculed by a group of brethren for parroting a precept I had been given to believe, when I had earlier been among a different group of brethren. As a result of prayer, desiring to know how one was to know the truth, in a place where so many factions hold so many contrary opinions of Christ, I was given a vision. At the conclusion of the vision, it was clear to me, I was free to fellowship anywhere, but was to join, and belong to nothing, save the one who redeemed me to Himself. The vision resolved the immediate topic. But more than that, set two paths before me. The two paths before me, were the way of the collective thinking of the scholars and leaders of traditional organized Christianity, or the reliance upon the Lord Himself as teacher and revealer , per His own admonitions and appeals. He asked this question in Amos, “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” , He made this statement in Jeremiah, ” Call unto Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” The name chosen for the blog, “MythologyBuster”, reflects the chosen path, and the effect of it. For inevitably, the latter path is certain, revealing the former as a dead end. An analogy comes to mind, that of the story of the Hare and the Tortoise. The mind disciplined to the hearing of faith will see the finish line. Despise not the day of small beginnings. Our course is a marathon, not a sprint. I am not the Mythology Buster. But I know Him.

I too had a similar path… The inconsistencies religion offered was not logical nor conclusive. The truth from scripture vetoed religion at almost every corner… I have since a clear understanding of the truth of the Gospel Paul preached. It is delightful freedom from the control of religion, and those who practice it. Interesting enough, yesterday I spoke to a man I knew 38 years ago. He too was vexed by religion and has visited 50 edifices in search of truth… I was greatly encouraged over his quest. Hopefully I can help fill in the blanks for him in the near future… John, you are one of the few friends in Christ I respect. I know there are others unknown to me (possibly 7000), But you I know by your writings. Someday I would like to meet you face to face…
    Be blessed my friend…
    John

Hey John, I look forward to learning so much from your teaching and from others whose walk with the Lord has taught them so much.
