THEIR WORM DIETH NOT

Isa 66:24
“And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for THEIR worm shall not die, neither shall THEIR fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.”

Mar 9:42
“And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
Where THEIR worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where THEIR worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: Where THEIR worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.”
“THEIR” :αὐτός:  ( A BAFFLING, BACKWARD WIND AND WORD)

From the particle au [perhaps akin to the base of ἀήρ (G109) through the idea of a baffling wind] (backward) :
From aemi (to breathe unconsciously, i.e. respire; by analogy, to blow) :
1 the air, particularly the lower and denser air as distinguished from the higher and rarer air

2 the atmospheric region

1 himself, herself, themselves, itself

2 he, she, it

3 the same

Eph 2:1
“And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the AIR, the SPIRIT that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.”

“AIR” in Eph, 2:1 is the same as the root word of “THEIR worm dieth not…”

It is the religious dung hill. THEIR worm is THEIR word…the lower, dense air, as opposed to the higher, rarefied air of the Holy Spirit. It is the deed and doctrine of the prince of the power of the air, at work in the children of disobedience.

Act 12:21
“And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.”

Herod’s worms were his own word. His day old bread that stinks and breeds them. He ruled in Jerusalem beneath, a place spiritually called Sodom and Egypt. Sodom means “Burning”. Egypt means “Double straits”.

The place where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched, is religion. If once lifted out of it, don’t look back.

1Sa 2:8
“He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S, and he hath set the world upon them.”

Hosea 11:1 “When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.”

1 Cor 13:11 “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”

Gal 4:1 “Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”

The Nicolaitane concept of obedience to them, is something they see as permanent. A nation of kings and priests is a concept that they do not understand, for they go about seeking subjects to be “mediators” for. Jesus, on the tree, took all of this out of the way. The individual alone…the overcomer alone…passes through the fog of Nicolaitanism like a hot knife through butter. It is the “Christian” version of the dung hill Paul came out of. I am obedient to what was delivered to the body of Christ in resurrection. That, and He, who in me, is the Power to become.A nation of kings and priests has no subjects within it’s own borders. “But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” In Christ, you do not look for subjects.

Nicolaitanism is a childish thing. If I take a kindergarten class and tell one kid, “you are the leader”, four of them, “you are to enforce the rules” , another, “you are the bus driver” , another, “you read the books and tell us what they mean” …you have what we see today. Children playing in the market place. A handful with delusions of grandeur and a lot of miserable and bullied kids.
Chapters 2-4 of Revelation paint a tremendous picture for us. The higher, rarefied air of the Spirit, heard in the individual vs. the lower, muddied, baffling and backward wind and  air of the prince of the power of the air, in the many mouths of false councilors and entities, absorbed by the masses. All of this at work in the assemblies.
