Often that which is deemed a current event can be more than a current event. One such thing that bears consideration is the Coronavirus which has thrust itself into the conscience of the nations. The word “corona” means “crown”. The Crown Virus.

The second and third chapters of the book of Revelation signify the assemblies, and manner of assemblies in the earth. They are not merely geographic locations limited to seven places, but are significations that go much deeper. Of the seven, there are two with which the Lord has no contention. These two are also the only two wherein the object of a crown is addressed. The giving of a crown, and the admonition not to relinquish it.

These two assemblies are called Smyrna, and Philadelphia. Ointment (anointing), and brotherly love. The 133rd Psalm is worth consideration:

[[A Song of degrees of David.]] Behold, how good and how pleasant [it is] for brethren to dwell together in unity! [It is] like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, [even] Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, [and as the dew] that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, [even] life for evermore.

The anointing proceeded from the head and overflowed every inch of the man, down to the hem of his garment. It saturated and overflowed the linen garments, symbolic of priesthood. The woman who was healed of an issue of blood, touched the hem of His garment. Jesus (the head) immediately perceived it, though the throng of people present saw and knew nothing. In a nutshell, Christ in you is the hope of glory. Christ in someone else is the hope of glory in someone else. In resurrection, Jesus gave to His own, as many as receive Him, the gift and promise of The Father, the Spirit of Truth. It is written that this Anointing which abides in you, is Truth, and is no lie. And as recipient of this gift and promise, you NEED that no man teach you. The Anointing will teach you concerning all things. While many do not comprehend this, and so, perceive the need of anointed teachers, etc., the fact remains, that the Anointing which we have of the Father, will in fact, far exceed any supply via others. The scriptures paint a clear picture of the relationship that should be the norm in the body of Christ, namely that every member holds to the head. The concluding chapters of the scriptures teach you that the light of a candlestick is good, but to have no need of it is better. The reasoning given, is that while the light of sun , moon and stars (calendar based religion) is good and the light of candlestick (assembly/ church) is better; the light of the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb in you, is best. In any orderly arrangement that incorporates man, even if inspired of God, the weak link in the arrangement is always man. The function of an assembly, as depicted in candlesticks, stands or falls with the quality of the human element.  Five of the seven assemblies of Revelation 2 and 3 demonstrate the human element gone amok, and the Spirit warning of this. Where the Spirit of Truth is supplanted by leadership that has left the mark, you have a problem. This problem is not unlike the function of a virus. A virus has no ability to replicate itself. It requires a host. Thinking or doctrine that comes in the name of the Lord, but not from the Lord, is a virus. Jesus warned of the leaven of the Pharisees, how that a little leaven will leaven the whole lump. Jesus also warned that the Pharisees’ means of increasing their doctrine and authority, was proselytization, the encompassing of land and sea to make one convert, one proselyte, who when manufactured (said Jesus) is two fold the child of hell that the proselytizer is himself.

This is a verse taken from Leviticus concerning the High Priest:

And [he that is] the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes: Neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother; Neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God [is] upon him: I [am] the LORD.    (Lev. 21:12)

The CROWN on your head, is The Anointing!

To Smyrna (Anointing) and Philadelphia (Brotherly Love):

Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast [some] of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

In resurrection, the Lord gave us a tremendous gift. The Teacher, the Spirit of Truth, the Promise of The Father. Along with Him, the author of all inspired scripture, comes the opening of the understanding to understand the scriptures. And it should come as no wonder that the Author is able to reveal to you, His thinking. To gain understanding from the scriptures however, you must read them yourself.

The Anointing is a crown of life.

Let no man take your crown.
