The two most common elements in the earth’s crust, are Aluminum and Silicon. This has become a thing of study for me in the scripture in recent days, as the constituent components of clay are aluminum and silicon. Clay is not dirt. It is a mineral.
The thing of interest to me, is the great image that Nebuchadnezzar saw, and which was explained to Daniel by God. It consisted of what I previously only saw as four elemental metals perched upon clay, with increasing specific gravity as you went up the image. Copper (brass) weighs more than iron, silver more than copper, gold more than silver. I had never seen, nor considered the presence of aluminum in the image. But clay contains aluminum. In fact the most common, and most commonly used form is a chemical layering of silicon and aluminum compounds. Clay contains aluminum and silicon, and is not clay if you separate the two from the clay.
What strikes me is that the image contains the elemental metals that are craved by humanity, highly sought after for sheer wealth by reason of their scarceness. The Gold, silver, copper and iron, represent certain things in the image, things pertaining to kings and kingdoms, commerce and power, and ruling over the human race. The clay is the the least valuable, least esteemed, and most fragile component of the image. And it’s use as a foundation in a system as represented by Neb’s image is insanity. It is structurally predestined by the laws of natural physics, to come down. Gravity, and elemental exposure will destroy the foundation as designed.
Until science revealed to us, the constitution of clay, we, as students of scripture, were not even aware of a fifth metal in the image, in the form of aluminum. But it is there. Because without it, there is no clay. And a particular principle of truth of the scripture, is revealed in the statement, “I am the potter, ye are the clay”. In Ephesians, there is a beautiful expounding of another truth in the clay/potter relationship. Namely, that if a work of clay in process, becomes marred or deformed upon the potter’s wheel, the potter has the ability and the right, to squeeze it down to a basic lump again, and form it again, as He sees fit.
[Isa 64:8 KJV] 8 But now, O LORD, thou [art] our father; we [are] the clay, and thou our potter; and we all [are] the work of thy hand.
[Jer 18:4 KJV] 4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make [it].
In Ephesians, the Lord defines the “New Man” as being reduced down to the basic commonality of humanity, devoid of religious institution, and the application/ imposition of powers, principalities, systems of social, political and religious application, basically a lump of unformed clay again, with a new constituent introduced. You and I , a human being with Christ dwelling in us by faith. The new man. (This being neither male nor female, but a new “race”, a peculiar people, not contaminated with anything that was in the former and marred lump).
Jesus Christ, by the great work of redemption, has struck the feet of the image. There is only one power, and one throne. Only one seat of authority that exists, and will exist, both until this is understood, and long after. Because every eye will see, every knee bow, and every tongue will wag in confession to this. For all the hubbub in the earth about legitimate or illegitimate government, all the fighting, murdering intrigue surrounding it, there is only one situation that exists now, and will survive when all other contenders have been exposed and eliminated. Christ in you, the hope of glory, and the shared throne. Christ in you, the Teacher, who is not preoccupied with that which passes away, but with that which is established and eternal in the heavens. Christ the Teacher who takes the things of God, which are His and ours by faith, and shows them to us. This Teacher teaches me to sit with Him in faith, expecting until His enemies be reduced to this understanding. And they will. Psalm 2 offers us three places of belonging. You must find yourself either among the raging nations, the vain imagining people, or seated in heavenly places in Christ. If you are in the latter, you are not a participant in either of the former.
Silicon and Aluminum, the two most abundant, light weight, and economically diminutive of the constituents of the image that is defeated and coming down.
[1Co 1:26-31 KJV] 26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, [are called]: 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, [yea], and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence. 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
[2Co 5:17-19 KJV] 17 Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things [are] of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. In Christ and in us, the Lord does a new thing. He does not do it with the former, forgotten things.Seen by 5
Jesus, the perfect work of the potter, destroyed the image. He grew into the great mountain that filled the earth. This work is in us. The mountain of the house of the Lord. It says of what Daniel saw, that the iron and clay cannot be mixed. They will attempt to mingle themselves with the seed of man, but will not be able. Iron is the imposition and application of the will of the image, to the clay. There is an attempt to replace the aluminum with iron. To make the will of human and devilish authority, an accepted and constituent part of the human psyche, replacing the rightful seat of Christ, but it will fail. Sadly, many will fail with it. The new man will never accept the mark in his/her mind, or in his/her deeds…the forehead and hand. If once a mind accepts and involves itself in the demonic image forming itself in this world, that mind ceases to be a new man.
